Third Sunday of Advent

This Sunday (December 15, 2024) is the Third Sunday of Advent. The liturgy for this Sunday looks ahead with joy to the coming of the Messiah, a theme established in the opening line of the Introit: Gaudéte in Dómino semper (“Rejoice in God always”). Holy Day of Obligation Today (December 9)

Just a reminder that today Monday December 9 is a Holy Day of Obligation as the U.S. Bishops, per the Novus Ordo calendar, have transferred the actual Holy Day of Obligation for the Immaculate Conception to today Monday, December 9th (even though it was celebrated in the Traditional Latin Mass yesterday).
