Saint Ann Respect Life Latin Mass Saturday 8:00 a.m.

Dear Friends in Christ,

Just a reminder that this Saturday October 26 at 8:00 a.m. is the monthly Respect Life Latin Mass at Saint Ann parish.

Following Mass, there will be prayers said at the Planned Parenthood abortion facility and a Holy Hour of Reparation offered in the church (for those unable to travel to the abortion facility).

Special Holy Hour of Reparation at the Cathedral - 9pm Friday October 25

On the topic of reparation, the Cathedral of St. Patrick is organizing a special Holy Hour of Reparation tomorrow Friday October 25 at 9:00 p.m. for a sacrilegious event scheduled to occur in Atlanta, home to our metropolitan see.

According to the Cathedral, Bishop Martin is calling on all Catholics to join in solidarity with the Archdiocese of Atlanta's efforts in making reparation for this offense.

Fr. Reid is inviting Saint Ann parishioners to participate in the Cathedral Holy Hour or to pray the Litany of Reparation to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament (one version can be found here).

Archbishop Hartmayer encourages prayers of reparation in response to ‘blasphemous’ inversion of the Mass

Other parishes are also offering Holy Hours including Saint Mark in Huntersville (9:00 p.m. Friday) and Saint John the Baptist in Tryon, which is offering Holy Hours of Reparation from 8:00 p.m. - 12 midnight Friday evening.

Saint Thomas Aquinas parish has printed out copies of the Archdiocese's reparation prayers in the narthex for people to pray privately. These prayers can also be downloaded here.

Feast of Christ the King this Sunday

On a joyful note, this Sunday is the glorious Solemnity of Christ the King, which honors the public and social Kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

As custom, immediately following 12:30 p.m. Latin Mass, a Eucharistic Procession is scheduled through the streets of Charlotte from Saint Ann parish to Holy Trinity Middle School. (St. Thomas Aquinas will also be offering a procession)
